Our History

Our history starts with two brothers Jack and James in 2008. Both born in Sheffield they decided to open their own coffee truck up at 21 they take it to food festivals, shows and markets. Their mission is to make sure the farmers get the money they deserve for their labours. They both have a passion for coffee but have noticed big business take over, they really noticed from the hard working farmers that they were being taken advantage of by large conglomerates and they decided to make a start making a change within this sector.

Based in Nottingham our online shop is our primary retail site for them and their products. We bag, tag and ship from this location globally including the US & EU. However, Jack and James still take their coffee van out to events to showcase the best of sustainable and fair trade farming has to offer.

How it works:

Each farmer produces so much coffee. The farm is then paid a percentage of the final product cost for example our Colombian coffee beans. They are harvested by our farmers, delivered to us in the UK, we then package and distribute them on their behalf, they then receive payment within 48 hours of the order being fulfilled.

Transparency:

Each total product price the customer buys is then split once deduction for shipping and overheads the farmers get 70% of the total profit and we retain 30% of the total profit to reinvest in our business. we have found this method works well as they are paid buy how much they produce rather that taking a loss on a deal with big business.
